The 71st College Day Celebration of Sacred Heart College was held on 7th May, 2022, in the college grounds, at 5.30 p.m. About 6000 staff, students, parents and well-wishers participated in the college day celebration. Parents also took part in this event. Rev. Dr. John Alexander, SDB, the Rector and Secretary of the college welcomed the gathering and the Chief Guest Shri. D.M. Kathir Anand, honourable member of Parliament – Lok Sabha, Vellore Constituency and the Guest of Honour Dr. Kaveriammal, the Regional Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Vellore.
The Chief Guest, Shri. D.M. Kathir Anand, Member of Parliament - Lok Sabha, Vellore Constituency, commended the efforts of the Salesian Community, staff, and students for excelling in education. As an alumnus of Don Bosco, he was nostalgic about his days as a student. He stated that, he has become what he is today because of the guidance and loving care of Don Bosco's then-principals and teachers. He expressed his joy in being invited as a Chief Guest by his own teacher Rev. Dr. John Alexander SDB, the Rector and Secretary of the college.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Kaveriammal, the Regional Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Vellore, in her address to the gathering, appreciated and congratulated the faculty and students for their achievements. She motivated students by narrating her life’s struggles and transition to the position of the Regional Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Vellore.
Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, SDB, the Principal of the college presented the annual report for the year 2021-22 in digital format show-casing the accomplishments of the college. Dr. G. Britto Antony Xavier, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics released an International Journal of Mathematica compromising of 25 peer reviewed articles in honour of Ravi P. Agarwal, a great Indian mathematician. The college day also showcased various cultural events performed by students.
