Chennai, India – The Salesian Province of Chennai (INM) joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle, patron saint of the province, on July 3, 2025, at Don Bosco Beatitudes, Vyasarpadi. The event marked both the Province Feast Day and the jubilee celebrations of 14 Salesians, commemorating their anniversaries of ordination and religious profession. The event brought together a large gathering of the Salesian family in a spirit of gratitude, communion, and celebration.

The day began with a solemn Holy Eucharist, setting spiritual reverence for the celebrations. The presence of the Provincial and the Bishop of Dharmapuri added grace and significance to the event, as they led the assembly in prayer and extended their blessings to the jubilarians and the entire province.

A highlight of the day was the felicitation ceremony, during which 14 jubilarians and 12 newly ordained priests of INM were honoured for their dedicated service and commitment to the Salesian mission. The gathering, which included over 250 priests, Salesian family members, and lay collaborators, reflected the deep bonds and shared mission within the province.

Adding further significance to the day, the Province Directory was officially released. Moreover, four new books were launched, contributing to the intellectual and spiritual enrichment of the province. The Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle stood as a powerful reminder of the province’s faith-driven mission, its commitment to community, and the enduring legacy of Salesian Mission in INM Province.
