ORATORY AND NIGHT SCHOOL DAY


Don Bosco Idayadeepam celebrated the Oratory and Night School day on the 16 th of February 2020. Accompanied by the night school teachers, around 350 children belonging to the oratories and night schools conducted in various villages of Yellegiri Hills participated in the celebration. The celebration commenced with a short inaugural ceremony. Fr. Pathiaraj Rayappan, Rector and Novice Master, declared open the celebration by waving a Flag. This was followed by Fete games organized by the Novices.

    The children took part in these games enthusiastically. Based on the number of games won by the children, prizes were awarded to them. At 12:30 p.m. the games came to end in order to begin the concluding ceremony. Mr. Srinivasan, the Assistant Headmaster of Government Higher Secondary School, Yellagiri Hills, presided over the celebration and addressed the gathering. The concluding ceremony was filled with cultural items, given by the children from various oratories and night schools. Prizes were awarded to those children who are regular to the oratory and night school. The celebration ended with a festive lunch.
