DON BOSCO SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL (ICSE), Lalpahar, Chouldari, South Andaman launched the basic course for Scout Masters and Guide Captains from 16th to 22nd of May. It is the first of its kind organized ever in this archipelago by anyone. The trainees for Scout Masters were nineteen of them (15 men and 4 women) and the trainees for Guide Captain were twenty of them. The trainers are Mr.Amalraj Narayanaswamy, Mrs.Arul Mary, Mrs.Jainy Paniammal, Fr.James Benjamin SDB who are well-known and have vast experience in training the scout masters and guide captains in national level. Another salient feature of this pioneering programme is that out of 39 trainees, 18 are from Don Bosco School. We sincerely appreciate the pioneering effort of Fr. Deva Anbu, the principal, Fr. Patrick Alphonse, the Rector and the community for their visionary work and in a special way for making the scout dream come true in the land of Andaman.
