The students of Don Bosco Matriculation School, Adamangalam (Veeralur Mission) took another leap to save Mother Nature by forming a group called DON BOSCO GREEN ARMY on 08th of April 2022. Thirty volunteers came together from Class VI to IX to form this Don Bosco Green Army. The students of this group were given motivational classes to help to understand the need to care for the common home. After the motivational session, they planted herbal saplings and vegetable saplings in the school garden, created by the children themselves in the school premise.
The prime objective of the group DON BOSCO GREEN ARMY is creating a Kitchen Garden in their homes which will be taken care by the students themselves. Fr. Emmanuel Antonysamy, the Principal of the School said, that the children were very happy and took a lot of interest in planting and thereafter caring for it. We immensely thank Fr. Alexander Thomas, the Rector and the Correspondent, Fr. Emmanuel Antonysamy, the Principal and the Salesian community for imparting the social concern among the students to care for our nature.
