Don Bosco Institute of Sustainable and Holistic Advancement (DISHA), Andamans, initiates a project titled “FARMERS’ STOP”. It is a marketing place where farmers benefit by vending their commodities directly to the market. The endeavour is being supported by NABARD’S RURAL HAAT project along with our Institute. The blessing of the Foundation Stone was on 26th March 2022 and the construction is expected to be completed in another four to six months’ time. Rev. Fr. K.M Jose SDB, the Provincial of Chennai Province blessed the Foundation along with other distinguished dignitaries and more especially through the esteemed presence of Mr. Manoj, General Manager of NABARD Regional Office of Port Blair. A word of sincere thanks to the Rector and the community of Andaman Ferrargunj and the Director of DISHA, Fr. Ferk Simolin SDB, for the timely initiative to uplift the living standard of the people. It is a worthy of noting that Don Bosco’s Mission at Andamans is celebrating its Silver Jubilee of its service to the people of this beautiful island by offering variety educational and life-oriented services.
