A prayer dance was performed by the college girls to invoke God’s blessings. Fr. Rector welcomed the gathering and gave four priorities of the college. 1. Personal Accompaniment of the Young. 2. Academic Excellence in Learning and Research. 3. Speaking in English boldly and always. 4. Collaborative Social ministry in Yellagiri villages. Then Fr. Thaddeus, the Principal welcomed in a special way the staff and students’ family. Fr. K.M. Jose who was the Chief Guest of the program emphasized these following principles to acquire the best knowledge: 1) Desire 2) Determination 3) Dedication 4) Discipline 5) Devotion. Fr.Principal insisted upon Dress Code, Campus Language and Campus Culture. Fr. Kasi Sagayaraj delineated protocols of the college, cultural practices and few instructions of the institution. Mrs. Jayamary, the HoD, Department of Computer Application, led the staff Oath ceremony and Master Wilbert Sagayaraj, Student Representative led the student Oath taking ceremony. At last, Dr. Rajendran the Deputy Principal gave the new rules and regulations of the college and concluded the program.
New Academic year of 2018-19 of Don Bosco College, Yellagiri Hills, commenced with Holy Eucharist to invoke God’s choicest blessings. Fr. John Alexander, Rector, the main celebrant, emphasized the significance of Don Bosco Institutions and its way of approaching aspiring young minds with love and kindness. Fr. Thaddeus, the Principal, Fr. Alexander Thomas – the Administrator, Fr. Kasi Sagayaraj – the Vice- principal and Fr. Jesu Manikam- Director of Bosco ITS also graced the auspicious occasion with their presence. Followed by Holy mass the inauguration function began at 11.00 a.m. in the presence of Rev. Fr. K.M. Jose, Provincial of Chennai Salesian Province and the Don Bosco community.
